If you’ve ever question our dedication to the cause, or you’ve ever wondered why we’re so set at helping veterans and trying to help them shake some demons, find the help they need or take them somewhere that they can just forget about everything and be happy if just for a moment in time….
This is my best friend Kurt. Kurt was a great man, awesome daddy to a beautiful little girl, and tried every day of his life to love his daughter and show his wife unconditional love.
Kurt was also a OIF veteran and a Sergeant in the United States Army.
Kurt had huge problems trying to adjust back to normal life and brought back some demons that haunted him until August 10th of last year when he couldn’t and didn’t find the help that he needed and ended his own life.
Now all I have of my best friend that I don’t have to many childhood memories without, is the shell casing (to the left of his picture) that his awesome wife took from his 21 gun salute and made into an angel so my family can hear a million stories when we’re setting up the Christmas tree and I try to place it.
I’ll never have Kurt, his evil little laugh and his amazing personality and loyal friendship….. But do have you guys! I do have the ability to help those that need help and point some people in the right direction.
I, like all the other admins have been through the system and know of other option and ways to help those that don’t know how to find it.
So with that being said… All the likes, all the shares, and all the comments really do help us get to our goal. After all the more people that know we’re here, is all the more people that know that there is at least a chance. Sometimes…. That’s all it takes to help someone save their own lives.
We’ll say it a lot and you’ll get tired of it, but I’m ok with that! Thank you all from the bottoms of our hearts! You are all amazing and we really do appreciate your support!
